For all their diversity in appearance and function commercial spaces share many common
aspects with regard to their electrical services. In older buildings electrical maintenance
has often been overlooked and things are now constantly giving problems. How long should
a new fluorescent tube last anyway, why do my circuit breakers keep tripping? If these
are questions you’ve had and you’re not happy with the answers you received maybe you
should ask us. Sometimes you need more than a tube and starter to fix a light fitting;
sometimes you need a light fitting. Sometimes you can put a tube into a fitting and it
will just miraculously burst into life, only to need a new tube next year; they should
last at least 5 years.
What are you really paying for that tube? If you’re buying and
changing them yourself you probably think not much, have you calculated the true cost?
If you’re paying a service provider to repair the light for you, are you getting the
maximum return for your maintenance dollar? At As-Spec we will always inform you of
